Introduction
Cordy ("we", "us") provides a private audio/video confession and mood diary app. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Cordy app distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, and to this website.
Data we do NOT collect
We never collect, access, upload or analyse the content of your confessions (audio or video recordings), your mood entries, your diary notes, your contacts, or your precise location. Your recordings and entries are stored encrypted on your device and never leave it unless you explicitly export them.
Data we collect
To operate the app we collect only: (1) anonymous usage and diagnostic data (app opens, feature usage, crash reports) that cannot identify you; (2) subscription and purchase status, processed by Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see your payment details; (3) your language and app preferences, stored locally on your device.
App permissions
Microphone and camera access are used solely to record your confessions on your device. Face ID / Touch ID / biometric authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system — Cordy never receives, stores or transmits biometric data. Notification permission is used only for optional daily wellbeing reminders. You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings.
How we use data
Anonymous diagnostics are used exclusively to fix bugs, improve stability and understand which features matter. We do not sell personal data, we do not share data with advertisers, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
Data retention & deletion
Content you create lives on your device: deleting an entry deletes it immediately, and uninstalling the app removes all local data. You can also wipe all entries from Settings inside the app. Anonymous diagnostics are retained for up to 12 months. For any deletion request, contact hello@cordy.pro and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Cordy is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used Cordy in violation of this policy, contact hello@cordy.pro.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your location, you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Because almost all data stays on your device, most of these rights can be exercised directly in the app. For anything else, email hello@cordy.pro.
Third-party services
The app relies on Apple App Store / Google Play for distribution and purchases, and on anonymous crash-reporting infrastructure. These providers process data under their own privacy policies and only to the extent necessary to provide their service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. The latest version is always available at www.cordy.pro/privacy.
