Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing or using Cordy (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. If you use the App on behalf of someone else, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for them.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, if higher) to use Cordy. By using the App you confirm you meet this requirement.
3. The service
Cordy provides a private space for audio/video confessions, mood tracking, a diary calendar and daily wellbeing tips, available in 15+ languages. Cordy is a self-reflection tool: it is NOT a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, diagnostic or crisis services. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a helpline in your country.
4. Your content
You retain full ownership of everything you record or write in Cordy. Your content is stored on your device; we do not access it, claim rights over it, or use it for any purpose. You are solely responsible for your content and for keeping your device and backups secure.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the App; use the App for unlawful purposes; attempt to circumvent security features (including biometric lock); or resell, rent or redistribute the App. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.
6. Subscriptions & purchases
Optional premium features may be offered via auto-renewing subscriptions or one-time purchases processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies.
7. Intellectual property
The App, the Cordy name, logo, design and all content we provide (excluding your content) are owned by Cordy and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Third-party app stores
Your use of the App is also subject to the terms of the platform you downloaded it from (Apple Media Services Terms or Google Play Terms of Service). Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and have no obligation to provide support for the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or that data loss will never occur — keep your device backed up.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cordy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €50 if you paid nothing.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time; uninstalling it deletes your local data. We may suspend or terminate the service (or these terms) for breach, with notice where required by law. Sections 4, 7, 9, 10 and 13 survive termination.
12. Changes to the service or terms
We may modify the App or these terms. Material changes will be announced in the App or on www.cordy.pro before taking effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The latest version is always available at www.cordy.pro/terms.
13. Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Cordy is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
